Description Balet
The "Balet" lettuce variety is a late-maturing leafy oily variety developed at the All-Russian Research Institute of Plant Breeding named after N.I. Vavilov. This variety is characterized by a horizontal rosette of leaves, large fan-shaped leaves with a medium waxy coating and crispy blade tissue. The leaf margin is strongly wavy with fine bubbling, giving the lettuce an attractive appearance and pleasant texture. The mass of one plant reaches 374 grams, indicating good development and density of leaf mass.

The "Balet" variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 408 centners per hectare, and a long period of commercial viability from 12 to 15 days. It is resistant to low temperatures, capable of withstanding frosts down to -10 degrees Celsius, which expands its cultivation possibilities in various climatic conditions. Moreover, the lettuce tolerates low light well, making it suitable for cultivation in less sunny regions.

It is recommended for cultivation on garden and vegetable plots, residential and farm enterprises. The variety is valued for its good transportability and long shelf life, which allows preserving freshness and market appearance during transport and sale. The taste qualities of "Balet" lettuce are good, making it in demand among consumers who prefer high-quality and climate-resistant varieties.
