Maize Bc 282

A reliable choice for sweet corn production

As a simple hybrid, it behaves consistently in the field: there are no surprises regarding uneven maturation, which is critical when you are planning harvesting labor or market supply chains.

Vegetation and maintenance tips

Since this is sweet corn, the agrotechnical requirements are standardly high. However, Bc 282 is forgiving of minor mistakes that would be detrimental to more delicate premium hybrids. The kernels develop fully with excellent sugary characteristics and organoleptic properties. It is important to note that this hybrid is very responsive to irrigation and proper nitrogen management. When the field conditions are met, the ears grow uniform with well-filled tips, a quality that retail customers appreciate immediately.

• Type: Simple sweet corn hybrid.
• Usage: Fresh market, processing.
• Manufacturer: Bc Institut d.d. (Croatian breeding).

During cultivation, the hybrid has demonstrated high resistance to major common corn diseases, which reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications. If your management strategy prioritizes stability and avoiding the headaches associated with "fussy" elite hybrids, Bc 282 effectively covers your needs for the season.
