Description Scholtec
The Scholtec rose, also known as Schoolgirl, is a large-flowered climbing variety with striking and unusual blooms. Flowers with a diameter of about 13 cm have a double structure composed of 17-25 velvety petals. Outer petals are pink with a peach-colored underside, while inner petals are pale coral with a dark apricot hue. The flowers possess a strong and sweet fragrance, making this variety especially attractive for ornamental landscaping. Scholtec rose reaches a height of 200 to 350 cm and a width of about 200 cm, allowing it to be used for decorating hedges, pergolas, and arches. Blooming begins in June and continues until frost, with the variety capable of reblooming. The rose tolerates rainy weather, enhancing its decorative appeal under various climatic conditions. The variety exhibits moderate cold hardiness (up to -20.6 °C) and disease resistance: moderate resistance to black spot and good resistance to powdery mildew. Despite the bush potentially appearing less attractive due to thorny stems and bare lower sections, its ornamental qualities and fragrance make Scholtec an excellent choice for gardeners seeking to decorate their property with an elegant and fragrant climbing rose.
