Rose Dream

Vertical Gardening with a Robust Character

The 'Mechta' rose is a product of the legendary Nikita Botanical Gardens, developed by Sergey Khokhlov and Arkady Pasenkov. Categorized as a climber, this variety stands out from its European counterparts by blending refined lilac aesthetics with exceptional resilience.

Why Choose 'Mechta'?

• Climate Toughness: Unlike many imported varieties that require complex winter protection, 'Mechta' boasts frost resistance down to -35°C, making it a reliable choice for regions with severe winters.
• Impressive Blooms: With flower diameters of 10–15 cm, this rose provides a visual impact rarely seen in climbing varieties. The blooms look spectacular against the backdrop of vigorous canes that exceed 2 meters in height.
• Disease Resistance: High natural resistance to fungal infections reduces the need for constant chemical treatment, facilitating a more sustainable gardening approach.

Who Is This Variety For?

'Mechta' is designed for those seeking a durable, high-impact climber. It is perfect for covering large arches, pergolas, and trellises. It is important to note that this rose requires space; due to its vigorous growth, it is not ideal for small, cramped flowerbeds, but it truly shines when given the support of large structures. The lilac hue of the petals changes slightly depending on the light, adding depth and dynamic character to the landscape.

If you aim to create a blooming wall that survives harsh winters without excessive maintenance, 'Mechta' is one of the most reliable candidates for your garden.
