BESSITO

Winter rapeseed seeds of the BESSITO variety are a high-yielding classical hybrid developed by Lidea (France). This medium-maturing variety is characterized by prolonged vegetation, which contributes to achieving a high yield potential of up to 60 ц/ha. BESSITO rapeseed has a high oil content in the seeds — 47–48% — making it attractive for oil production. Plants exhibit strong autumn initial growth, ensuring good adaptation to late sowing dates and facilitating successful vegetation renewal in mid-early spring. Morphological features of the variety include very tall plants with intense branching, which increases overall crop productivity. BESSITO rapeseed demonstrates resistance to lodging and pod cracking, reducing yield losses under adverse weather conditions. Additionally, the variety exhibits high comprehensive tolerance to major diseases such as phomopsis, sclerotinia, and cylindrosporiosis, ensuring stable yields and reducing the need for frequent fungicide applications. The recommended seeding rate ranges from 250 to 900 thousand plants per hectare, corresponding to 25–35 plants per square meter in spring. The variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including steppe, forest-steppe, and polissia. The cultivation technology is classical, with optimal and late sowing dates, allowing flexible adaptation of agronomy to specific regional conditions. The seed package contains 1.5 million seeds, which is convenient for large-scale agricultural production.
