Rapeseed Wodograi

Technical Specifications and Morphology

The 'Vodohrai' rapeseed variety, developed by the Prykarpattia Agricultural Research Station, features a compact plant structure with a height of 80–90 cm. This low-growing morphotype allows for an optimal planting density of 400,000 plants per hectare, minimizing competition for resources and promoting uniform maturation. This geometric optimization contributes to a yield potential of 60–70 dt/ha.

Phytosanitary Resilience

The core value of 'Vodohrai' lies in its genetically determined immunity to key pathogens. The breeding process has provided robust resistance to loose and covered smut, as well as barley dwarf rust. This resistance significantly simplifies crop management, as the variety demonstrates high effectiveness against:

• Helminthosporiosis;
• Plant rust;
• Stem smut of onions;
• Powdery mildew.

Reducing the frequency of fungicide applications allows for lower production costs and decreased pesticide load on the soil.

Production Efficiency

For farm managers, 'Vodohrai' acts as a high-performance tool in crop rotation. The uniformity of the plant height and steady development significantly facilitate mechanical harvesting, minimizing seed loss. Utilizing this variety is a strategic choice for intensive farming operations under Ukrainian soil and climate conditions.
