Rapeseed Parallax

Ukrainian Breeding Stability in Field Conditions

The winter rapeseed variety "Parallax," developed by the Institute of Oilseed Crops of NAAS, proves that line-bred varieties can successfully compete with expensive hybrids when managed with proper agronomic practices. Unlike highly intensive hybrids that require perfect conditions, "Parallax" is forgiving of minor mistakes and performs reliably in regions prone to unstable climatic conditions.

Key Competitive Advantages

• Exceptional Winter Hardiness: Bred specifically for Ukraine’s climate, the variety exhibits high regenerative capacity, ensuring rapid growth after dormancy.
• Cost-Efficiency: As a line-bred variety, it allows farmers to utilize their own seeds without losing major quality traits, significantly lowering production costs compared to hybrid licenses.
• Stress Tolerance: The variety shows increased tolerance to short-term droughts during grain filling, a critical factor for producers in southern and central regions.

Who should choose Parallax?

"Parallax" is the optimal choice for farms seeking a balance between seed costs and harvest stability. It is less demanding regarding the strict timing of growth regulator application compared to intensive European hybrids. However, its maximum potential is realized in high-quality soils with strictly observed planting dates.

While the variety may not reach the extreme yield "ceiling" of super-intensive Western hybrids under maximum fertilizer loads, it serves as a robust "workhorse." It is the perfect candidate for growers who prioritize reliable, consistent quality and good oil yield over expensive, high-risk intensive programs. If you want a predictable harvest without overpaying for imported marketing-driven brands, "Parallax" is a proven, cost-effective solution.
