Rapeseed Exotic

Reliability and Performance in Winter Oilseed Rape

When choosing a hybrid like "Exotic" from Monsanto, the goal is consistent performance. From a grower's perspective, this hybrid stands out for its resilience against common field pressures. If you are dealing with phoma or dwarf virus issues, you know how quickly a season can turn south. This is where the genetics of the Exotic hybrid pay off, acting as a natural shield for your crop.

Field Management and Yield

Being a simple linear hybrid, it is straightforward to manage. It doesn't require complex adjustments to your standard growing practices, but it does reward attention to detail—specifically in seeding rates. It performs best when you avoid over-crowding, allowing each plant to reach its full potential. With yields consistently hitting the 50-60 c/ha range, it’s a workhorse for any modern farming operation.

Key Advantages

• Genetic Resistance: Excellent tolerance to phoma and dwarf virus.
• Oil Content: High quality, ranging from 40-45%.
• Yield Potential: A solid 50-60 c/ha in optimal conditions.
• Handling: Easy to manage during the harvest period with minimal shedding.

For those looking for a predictable return on investment, the Exotic hybrid offers that rare mix of high output and disease tolerance. It’s a low-stress variety that handles the typical challenges of the fall-winter cycle effectively, keeping your crop healthy until it hits the grain tank.
