RX128 / PX128

RX128 is a mid-season hybrid winter rapeseed from Brevant (Pioneer), designed for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Forest Steppe, Polissia, and Steppe. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to adverse weather conditions, ensuring reliable winter survival even in the coldest winters. Plants reach a height of 130–140 cm, with flowering occurring at a medium-late stage. Spring growth proceeds at a moderate pace, facilitating successful crop development during the spring period.

The RX128 hybrid exhibits high resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as phomopsis (presence of RLM7 gene), verticillium wilt, and sclerotinia, confirmed by independent trials. In addition, the plant shows high resistance to drought, lodging, and cold. A distinctive feature of the hybrid is the rapid development of the root system in autumn and the leaf rosette, which spreads along the ground without shading neighboring plants, improving winter survival and reducing competition.

RX128 is characterized by high yield potential — up to 68 c/ha, and oil content in seeds is at a very high level, making it one of the leaders in oil content in European trials. The hybrid responds well to growth regulators, allowing early sowing at low seeding rates. The short stem during flowering facilitates treatment of crops with trailed sprayers. Recommended seeding rates range from 40–50 seeds per square meter depending on sowing dates.
