Remeslivna

Remeslivna is a winter soft wheat variety developed by the V.M. Remesla Institute of Wheat of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones. It is a medium-early variety with a short stalk and exhibits high cold tolerance, exceeding average levels. It is resistant to lodging, drought, shattering, and pre-harvest sprouting, and shows high resistance to leaf and stem diseases such as powdery mildew and leaf rust. Due to these qualities, Remeslivna adapts well to various stress factors and agronomic conditions, including high levels of mineral nutrition.

The variety has a high yield potential, reaching 6.09–11.5 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions and agronomy. The recommended seeding rate is 4.0–6.5 million germinating seeds per hectare. The grain of this variety has high protein content (13.0–14.4%) and significant levels of crude gluten (28.9–35.8%), ensuring high flour quality. The flour strength ranges from 328–343 standard units, and the loaf volume from this flour reaches 1000–1100 cm³, indicating good baking properties.

Remeslivna is classified as a high-yield wheat type and is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The variety is characterized by stable productivity and resistance to shattering and pre-harvest sprouting, reducing losses during harvest. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, Remeslivna is a reliable choice for farmers seeking high-quality winter soft wheat yields.
