Description V 2 180
Clonal rootstock V-2-180 is a shrub-like plant about 2.4 m tall, obtained through hybridization of the common cherry variety 'Vladimirska' with rootstock form VP-1 (combination of 'Zolushka' and *Cerasus maackii*). It belongs to the selection of FGBNU VNIISPK and is characterized by a high rooting percentage, ensuring fast establishment in new plantings.

The rootstock's root system boasts excellent winter hardiness and resistance to cockle fungus, as well as good resistance to moniliosis. Branches grow upright, branch out, and are reddish-brown in color, giving the tree an attractive appearance. Leaves have a green matte tint, oval shape, and are curved along the central vein.

Rootstock V-2-180 is highly compatible with various varieties of sweet cherry and cherry, ensuring high productivity of grafted trees due to moderate shoot-forming ability. Due to its resistance to climatic loads and unpretentiousness to soil conditions, it is suitable for a wide range of horticultural applications, including microclonal propagation and creation of new fruit plantings.
