Description NS H 978
NS H 978 — is a medium-early simple hybrid sunflower developed for the CLEARFIELD® technology, which provides effective control of all ragweed species. The vegetation period ranges from 102 to 109 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to steppe and forest-steppe conditions. Plants reach a height of 150-180 cm, have good leafiness, and a thin, convex head with a diameter of 19-22 cm, which promotes optimal growth and harvest.

The hybrid features high yield, exceeding 55 centners per hectare, and high oil content in seeds — from 46 to 51%. Oil content and stable productivity make NS H 978 attractive for cultivation in central and southern steppes, as well as in forest-steppe zones. The 1000-seed mass varies from 60 to 70 grams, indicating high-quality seed material.

NS H 978 exhibits resistance to diseases and pests, including resistance to wolf, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. The recommended planting density is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare. The level of lodging is within 23-25%, facilitating processing and enhancing economic efficiency of cultivation. Seeds are packaged in bags of 150 thousand units, convenient for agricultural enterprises.
