The N4H422 CL (N4L472 CL) sunflower hybrid from Nuseed is a high-yielding linoleic variety intended for cultivation using the EuroLighting / Clearfield technology. This hybrid has a medium-early maturity period — the vegetation period ranges from 105 to 110 days. Plant height reaches an average level, approximately 7 points on the scale, which facilitates harvesting and reduces lodging risk. Seed oil content reaches up to 55%, making this hybrid attractive for producing high-quality oil. One of the key features of N4H422 CL is its high resistance to major diseases and pests. The hybrid shows excellent tolerance to volunteer chicory (volchak) with a rating of 8-9, as well as resistance to false powdery mildew (9), white mold (7), and froge (7). Due to its well-developed root system and sturdy low-growing stem, formed at low seeding rates, the plant demonstrates high resistance to lodging and drought (8 points), which is especially important for resource-saving technologies and cultivation under various climatic conditions in Ukraine. The hybrid exhibits vigorous early growth, promoting rapid development and formation of a strong root system. This ensures stability and high productivity even under challenging agroclimatic conditions. The recommended seeding density is 45,000–50,000 plants per hectare, which is optimal for achieving maximum yield, potentially reaching 5.3 tons per hectare. Seeds are treated with Maxim XL, further enhancing their protection and germination rate. N4H422 CL is suitable for cultivation throughout Ukraine, ensuring a reliable and high-quality harvest.
