PHOENIX PLUS

Cucumber Phoenix Plus is a medium-early variety of cornichon type with a maturation period of 45-50 days. Fruits reach a length of 10-12 cm and a weight of 75-100 g, have a dark green color with pale-white stripes and large bumps. The flesh of the fruits is juicy, crisp, and free of bitterness, making this variety especially attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling and canning. The variety has improved taste qualities compared to its predecessor Phoenix-640, as well as resistance to bitterness accumulation even when fruits overripen. The plant has strong growth, forming a compact bush with a stem length of 2.5-3 meters, which allows effective use of vertical growing methods. The green foliage is strong and dark green, ensuring a prolonged fruiting period until the first frosts when grown in open ground. Seedlings can also be planted in protected soil, expanding the cultivation possibilities of this variety. Phoenix Plus is a bee-pollinated variety with increased resistance to diseases, particularly false powdery mildew, which reduces the need for chemical protection and contributes to obtaining an ecologically clean product. The variety is low-maintenance and has a good yield of up to 6.5 kg per square meter, making it an excellent choice for home gardening and commercial use.
