Cucumber «Doškolyata» is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, intended for cultivation in open ground and under film coverings. The plant is indeterminate, medium-vined, with female flowering, ensuring stable and abundant fruiting. The cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, dark green color, finely warty surface with white hairs, and exhibit high crispness. Average fruit weight is 80-90 grams with length of 9-12 cm. Due to the absence of hollow fruits, the cucumbers are ideal for fresh consumption and preservation, ensuring high quality of pickled and salted products. The hybrid begins fruiting on day 40-42 after emergence, forming medium-length vines with fruiting nodes that develop in clusters of 4-6 fruits under sufficient nutrition. The taste of the fruits is excellent, making the variety attractive to a wide range of consumers. The plants exhibit high resistance to major cucumber diseases, such as powdery mildew, cladosporeiosis, cucumber mosaic, and false powdery mildew, allowing high yields with minimal losses. Yield reaches 14-15 kg per square meter. For successful cultivation of «Doškolyata», seedlings should be sown in early May, followed by transplanting 20-day-old seedlings into the soil at the end of May – beginning of June, or direct sowing in open ground at the end of May. The plants require fertile, neutral, well-drained soils enriched with organic matter. Timely watering, regular weeding, loosening, and mineral fertilization are necessary for good growth and maximum fruiting. Following agronomic recommendations will ensure a high-quality and abundant cucumber harvest.
