Era

The cucumber variety Era is a medium-early, bee-pollinated variety with predominantly female flowering, beginning fruiting on the 42–48th day after germination. Fruits have an oval-cylindrical shape, 10–12 cm long, green in color with a characteristic whitish pattern at the tip and white stripes up to the middle of the fruit. The surface is complex and black-hairy, giving the fruits additional protection and an attractive appearance. The taste qualities of the variety are high and universal, making it suitable for various consumption methods and culinary processing.

The Era variety is distinguished by high fruit set, uniform fruiting, and high productivity. It is resistant to several diseases, including black bacterial spot, tobacco mosaic virus (TMV), fusarium, and alternaria, as well as possessing relative resistance to downy mildew. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses and polytunnels, expanding its usability under various climatic conditions.

For successful cultivation of the Era cucumber, it is recommended to plant it after crops such as cabbage, potatoes, onions, carrots, and peppers. The soil should be light in texture, loose, and well enriched with organic matter. Sowing should be carried out when soil temperature has warmed to 10–12°C and the threat of frost has passed. The main harvest ripens until late summer, allowing to avoid significant losses from possible outbreaks of fungal diseases.
