The El Dorado Rose tomato is a medium-ripening variety with egg-shaped fruits of an unusual raspberry-pink color. Each fruit weighs between 90 and 120 grams, and the flesh is dense and flavorful. Thanks to its high yield, reaching up to 6.2 kg per square meter, this variety is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Its unique feature is the possibility of full-fruit canning, due to the small size and dense structure of the fruits.
The plant is determinate, with a height ranging from 70 to 90 cm. Care for the El Dorado Rose tomato is relatively simple: there is no need to remove suckers or artificially shape the plant. The plant is robust and well-branched, eliminating the need for support. Cultivation can be done either as seedlings in open ground or directly in the soil. In the seedling method, seeds are sown at the end of February to early March, transplanted when the first 1–2 true leaves appear, and planted in rows at the beginning of May. The direct sowing method involves planting seeds directly into the soil at the end of April to early May, provided the weather is stable and the soil is warmed.
For optimal growth, follow the planting scheme: 40 cm between plants in a row, 40 cm between rows, and 70 cm between beds. The El Dorado Rose tomato is resilient and disease-resistant, tolerates various growing conditions, and does not require special soil conditions. Regular feeding and preventive treatments against pests and diseases will help achieve maximum yield and maintain plant health.
