AVANGARD is a mid-season flax variety (Linum usitatissimum L. var. intermedia) developed using classical breeding technology to increase yield under various growing conditions. The plant reaches an average height of 60-70 cm, has a blue-violet corolla color at the bud stage, which turns light blue at full development. The vegetative period is 97-99 days, with average flowering time. The capsule is small or medium-sized with fringed false septum, and the seeds are brown. The stigma at the base is white, which is a characteristic feature of the variety.
The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as high resistance to diseases and pests. It exhibits drought tolerance, synchronized flowering and ripening, which contributes to stable yields. Seed oil content reaches 51%, while potential yield is up to 28 centners per hectare. Due to these qualities, AVANGARD is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Lower Volga, and Ural regions.
This variety is especially suitable for cultivation in the Volgograd and Rostov regions, as well as in the Stavropol Krai. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and adaptability, AVANGARD ensures stable and high yields of oil flax, making it a profitable choice for agricultural producers oriented towards oilseed production.
