Linum usitatissimum variety Argamak is a new achievement in breeding, developed at FSBI FNTC LC — OP «Penza Research Institute of Agriculture». This variety is characterized by high productivity and seed quality, as well as resistance to various abiotic and biotic stressors. In comparative tests, Argamak outperformed standard varieties in terms of yield, oil content and oil extraction rate, confirming its high competitiveness and economic profitability of cultivation.
A feature of the Argamak variety is a high oil content with an altered fatty acid composition, in particular, a high level of linoleic acid (from 51.4% to 60.3%) and linolenic acid (from 14.7% to 19.9%). This ratio of fatty acids makes Argamak linseed oil valuable for both food and technical use. Research was carried out using modern gas chromatography methods, which made it possible to accurately determine the composition and quality of the oil.
Growing flax variety Argamak contributes to expanding the directions of using linseed oil as a renewable raw material resource adapted to the conditions of the Middle Volga region. This makes it attractive for agricultural producers striving for high yield and product quality. LLC «Argamak-R» is engaged in the production and supply of Argamak flax seeds, ensuring stable supplies and support for agrarians.
