Flax Briz

Fiber Quality and Stability

When working with 'Briz' fiber flax, agronomists note its predictability in field conditions. Developed by Russian breeders I.A. Semenov and P.N. Voronkov, this variety demonstrates high technological efficiency, which is critical for mechanized harvesting. The upright stems, combined with optimal density, allow for minimal losses during harvesting, which reduces costs per hectare and simplifies machinery setup.

Operational Performance

• Type: Fiber flax (dolgunets).
• Purpose: Textile industry.
• Processing: High yield of long fibers during primary processing.

The operational characteristics of 'Briz' are evident in its resistance to lodging and uniform ripening. For the operator, this means fewer issues with combine harvesters getting clogged by overgrown or immature plants. During primary processing, the flax fiber shows excellent strength and elasticity, making the variety highly sought after by mills focused on high-quality yarn and fabric production.

Crop management follows the standard approach for premium fiber flax varieties, requiring proper crop rotation and timely weed control. 'Briz' is resilient against common stressors, which helps reduce the need for excessive chemical treatments and, consequently, lowers the overall cost of production for the final raw material.
