Lavatera MONT BLANC is a medium-sized shrub about 55–60 centimeters tall, belonging to the mallow family. The plant is distinguished by white buds with dark veins on the petals and large raceme inflorescences up to 10–12 cm in diameter, colored in a pure snow-white hue.
MONT BLANC is characterized by a long flowering period – from early summer to the first frosts. The plant is undemanding in care: it tolerates drought and gusty winds well, and grows in various soil conditions, preferring moderately fertile, drained substrates. To maintain its decorative appearance, regular sanitary pruning of faded inflorescences is recommended.
Pests that the plant may encounter – aphids and rust; they can be controlled with insecticide treatment or Bordeaux mixture.
