Lovage "Lider" – a perennial shrub up to 2 m tall, which reaches 1.5–2 m during flowering and forms large rosettes. Leaves are long (up to 90 cm), glossy, serrated, with a characteristic aroma reminiscent of celery due to high essential oil content. The plant grows quickly, adapts easily to various climatic conditions and does not require special care.
The variety is characterized by high productivity: in open ground with a planting of 60 × 60 cm, plants reach a height of 70–90 cm, and yield remains stable. Leaves can be used as fresh greens, as well as dried for preservation. All parts of the plant are suitable for preparing decoctions, tinctures, and extracts, which are used in folk medicine to strengthen health, treat internal organs, headaches, and wounds.
Culinary, lovage is valued as a spice: its fresh greens are added to salads, soups, and sauces, giving dishes a bright taste. In cosmetology, the plant is used due to its toning properties and content of vitamins and minerals. For cultivation, it is recommended to plant in spring (April-May) in a sunny place; the plant grows well in full sun and semi-shade, as well as withstands cold conditions.
