Description AURICA
Japanese honeysuckle 'Aureoreticulata' is a semi-evergreen vine-like plant that grows rapidly, covering fences, hedges, or pergolas with its dense lance-shaped leaves. The leaves feature a characteristic asymmetrical reticulated pattern of golden-yellow dots on a green background, giving the bush special decorative appeal and making it popular in landscape design. The shoots grow up to 4.5–5 m long, and seasonal growth can reach 50 cm, allowing the plant to quickly fill space.

Flowering of 'Aureoreticulata' begins in June and continues until August. During this period, the bush is covered with numerous small cream-colored flowers that emit a pleasant aroma. The flowers remain white until they wither, after which they turn slightly yellowish. After the flowers are collected, small black-purple berries with a silver bloom appear on the leaves; they are not suitable for consumption.

The plant is perennial and, with proper agrotechnology, can decorate a site for more than ten years. For its cultivation, sheltered from wind, warm places with good soil aeration are preferred – loams or fertile soils. Development slows down on heavy and sandy soils. Average frost resistance requires covering the crown in winter; if shoots are damaged, the plant recovers through new shoots in the following season.
