Esman

The 'Esman' flax cultivar is a late-maturing, high-fiber variety distinguished by high yield and fiber quality. Straw yield reaches 5.9–6.1 t/ha, seed yield — 0.78–0.86 t/ha, and total fiber — 1.61–1.74 t/ha, of which long fiber accounts for approximately 1.05 t/ha. Fiber content in the plant varies from 27.9 to 30.7%, indicating high-grade raw material suitable for textile and other industries. The cultivar exhibits high resistance to lodging and seed shattering, as well as moderate resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium, making it reliable for cultivation across various flax-growing regions of Ukraine.

'Esman' is used not only for fiber production but also for producing linseed oil, which contains 30–35% oil. High productivity and compatibility with growth cycles contribute to improved final product quality. The genetic basis of the cultivar includes elements of genetically modified varieties, ensuring its stability and high yield performance.

Growing 'Esman' flax provides high-quality raw material widely used in the textile industry and food sector. Linseed is a source of beneficial micronutrients, vitamins, and fiber, promoting metabolic normalization and improved digestion. Due to its characteristics and resilience, the cultivar is recommended for cultivation in all flax-growing regions of Ukraine, ensuring stable and high yields.
