Flax Miandr

Focus on Stability and Oil Content

The "Miandr" flax variety, developed by the Institute of Agriculture of the Carpathian Region of the NAAS, is designed for farmers seeking a balance between high-quality commodity grain and predictable yields in a changing climate. Unlike many imported varieties that require ideal conditions, this oilseed flax demonstrates adaptability to Ukrainian soils and resilience against climatic stress.

Crop Health as a Foundation for Profitability

A primary challenge for flax producers is high susceptibility to fungal diseases, which can quickly wipe out yield potential. "Miandr" stands out due to its genetic resistance to two major threats:

• Anthracnose: The variety suppresses infection, preserving stem integrity and capsule quality.
• Fusarium wilt: "Miandr" shows robust resistance to Fusarium, allowing growers to minimize fungicide applications during the growing season.

Economic Indicators

As an oilseed type, this variety ensures an oil content of 42–44%. Its brown seeds are the industry standard for processing, simplifying sales to oil extraction plants. The high oil yield makes this crop attractive for farms targeting both export markets and the growing demand for health-conscious food products.

Who Should Choose "Miandr"?

This variety is ideal for farms prioritizing risk minimization and cost control. It is an excellent choice if your fields are prone to disease pressure and your budget is constrained by high input costs. "Miandr" is a reliable, domestically bred "workhorse" that requires minimal attention while consistently delivering commodity grain with high oil content.
