Gladiator

Gladiator — a medium-maturing flax variety characterized by high stature and high fiber content. The vegetative period is 77–78 days, allowing for a stable yield under moderate climatic conditions. The variety is resistant to lodging, which helps preserve the quality of the harvest during ripening and harvesting.

Fiber content in plants ranges from 28.3–30.3%, with an average fiber number of 14.0. The yield of long fibers reaches 18.2–20.2%, making this variety attractive for producing high-quality textile raw materials. The straw yield is 7–8 tons per hectare, and fiber yield is 1.9–2.3 tons per hectare, including 0.7–0.9 tons of long fibers.

The Gladiator variety has moderate resistance to Fusarium lodging, providing additional protection for plants against diseases. Registered in 2008, this is a spring crop intended for seed sowing. Cultivating the Gladiator flax variety provides quality raw material for the textile industry, combining high productivity with reliability under Ukrainian agronomic conditions.
