Flax CHILDHOOD

Focus on High-Quality Fiber Production

The «Detstvo» flax variety, developed by breeder Alexey Vasilyevich Polyakov, is specifically designed for the professional textile sector. Its primary value lies in the high yield of long fiber, which is the most critical metric for manufacturers aiming to produce high-quality yarn. Unlike general-purpose varieties, this cultivar is optimized to meet the strict technical standards required by modern processing plants.

Agronomic Profile

The variety is engineered to produce strong, elastic, and uniform stems, which directly impacts the quality of the retted straw. By selecting this cultivar, producers can ensure better efficiency during primary processing. It demonstrates high adaptability to the local climatic conditions of the Russian Federation, offering consistency in yield even during variable weather conditions.

Operational Advantages

• High output of long-staple fiber, enhancing economic return for large-scale operations.
• Strong resistance to lodging, which reduces waste during mechanized harvesting.
• Consistent fiber strength and elasticity, provided that harvesting timing is strictly controlled.

One critical requirement for success with «Detstvo» is precise harvesting; delaying the process will reduce the tensile strength of the fiber, negatively impacting its grade. Furthermore, the variety responds well to intensive fertilization, particularly nitrogen-phosphorus balance, which is essential for reaching its full production potential. This is a strategic choice for agribusinesses with established processing partnerships and a focus on high-grade textile raw materials.
