Bahama F1 watermelon is a high-quality seedless hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Syngenta, intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is strong and rapidly growing, responds well to fertilization, and features a well-developed leaf canopy that effectively protects against sunburn. For successful pollination, a pollinator ratio of 2 to 3 is required. Seeds are recommended to be pre-sown in seedling trays, after which seedlings are transplanted to their permanent growing location. The fruits of the Bahama watermelon have a round shape with dark green rind and bright red, dense flesh with high sugar content. Average fruit weight ranges from 4 to 6 kilograms. The hybrid is characterized by high yield and the ability to form multiple fruits per plant. The maturation period is 78–82 days from germination and 60–65 days after transplanting seedlings. Due to its dense flesh and seedlessness, the watermelon is ideal for transportation and fresh market sales, including supermarkets. Bahama F1 exhibits resistance to major diseases such as anthracnose and Fusarium wilt, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions and stress. High commercial quality, sweet and crunchy taste make this hybrid popular among producers and consumers. Seeds are packaged in 1000 units, convenient for commercial cultivation.
