Description NADYEGA
The potato variety Nadyega is a mid-season table variety developed by specialists of the All-Russian Research Institute of Potato Growing named after A.G. Lorha. The plant is semi-upright, intermediate type with small or medium-sized green leaves. Tubers are elongated-oval with small eyes, skin color is light yellow or beige, flesh is creamy. The average maturation period is 80-95 days, which allows cultivation in the Central and Ural regions of Russia.

The variety is characterized by high yield — from 192 to 348 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 416 centners per hectare. The weight of marketable tubers varies from 92 to 162 grams, and the number of tubers per plant is 6-9. Starch content ranges from 13.9% to 17.9%, making the potato versatile for preparing various dishes, including processing into crispy potatoes. Tubers have a storage capacity of 93%, ensuring good yield preservation.

The Nadyega variety exhibits resistance to diseases such as potato late blight, crinkly mosaic, and striped mosaic, as well as rhizoctonia. It has moderate resistance to phytophthora on foliage and tubers, but is susceptible to golden cyst nematode. Due to its low maintenance requirements and good market qualities of tubers, this variety is an excellent choice for cultivation in the middle belt and Ural regions of Russia.
