Description LINUS
The potato variety Linus is a medium-late type, particularly suitable for producing French fries. Plants of this variety have medium to high height, stem type, and semi-erect stem position. The leaves of Linus are medium to large in size, intermediate in type, colored light green or green. The flower corolla varies from medium to large in size, with no or very weak anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner side of the corolla.

Linus potato tubers are elongated-oval with small eyes, covered with yellow skin, and have a light-yellow flesh. The average weight of marketable tubers is about 98 grams, and starch content reaches 16%. The variety is distinguished by good taste, high marketability — 87%, and excellent storability — 98%, ensuring long-term storage without loss of quality.

The yield of the Linus variety is high: marketable yield reaches 209 centners per hectare, which is 32 centners higher than the standard variety Innovator, and maximum yield may reach 376 centners per hectare. The potato is resistant to potato cancer pathogen (pathotype I) and resistant to leaf curl, but susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. These characteristics make Linus a reliable and productive variety for cultivation in the Central region.
