Description Jetma F1
Jetma F1 cabbage is an ultra-early hybrid of white cabbage, selected by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under coverings such as plastic film, agrofabric, or greenhouses. The vegetation period is 45-50 days, allowing for an early and uniform harvest. The hybrid is adapted to various climatic conditions, making it successfully cultivated throughout Ukraine, including southern regions and areas with harsher climates. The plant prefers loamy soils with good aeration and neutral pH, but is otherwise low-maintenance. Plants form round, compact heads of medium density weighing from 0.7 to 1.5 kg, with leaves having a pleasant light-green hue covered with a waxy coating. The cabbage is resistant to fusarium, internal necrosis, rot diseases, and harmful bacteria, significantly reducing crop losses and improving product quality. Yield under proper agronomic practices reaches up to 420 centners per hectare or 7-10 kg per square meter under cover. Planting is recommended at a density of 50-60 thousand plants per hectare in open ground and 7-8 plants per square meter under plastic film. Jetma F1 is especially valued for its excellent sweet taste, making it ideal for fresh consumption, particularly in vitamin salads. Harvesting is done manually or mechanically, with good transportability, though storage life is limited. For optimal growth and maturation, soil loosening, hilling, fertilization, watering, and pest protection are recommended. Moderate water requirements make the hybrid convenient for cultivation under various conditions.
