White cabbage Champ F1 is an early hybrid developed by specialists of the Dutch company Seminis. The crop matures in approximately 52-68 days after transplanting seedlings, although experienced gardeners can harvest heads as early as day 50. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic greenhouses, enabling early harvests. The plant tolerates various climatic conditions, including short-term drought, temperature drops, dry air, and hot weather, and prefers clay and loam soils. Champ F1 heads are round, firm, with a delicate green color, fine leaves, and short stalks. Average head weight ranges from 1 to 2 kg. The hybrid features high head density, ensuring excellent root storage and resistance to cracking. Thanks to these qualities, the cabbage is well-suited for long-distance transportation and fresh market sales. Recommended planting density is 40-60 thousand plants per hectare, promoting maximum yield. Champ F1 has enhanced immunity and resistance to several diseases, including powdery mildew, vascular bacteriosis, necroses, fungal infections, and Fusarium (race 1). This makes the hybrid a reliable choice for farmers and gardeners aiming for high-quality, stable yields.
