White cabbage Bucharest F1 — a mid-season hybrid developed by the Dutch breeding company Seminis. This variety is characterized by high productivity and adaptability, allowing it to thrive under various growing conditions and with different care. Plants are robust, with a well-developed root system and abundant foliage, and grow well even at high planting densities. Heads are round, bluish-green in color with a dense waxy coating, giving them an attractive appearance and reliable protection. Average head weight ranges from 1.5 to 3 kg, with inner flesh being whitish and medium-length core.

The Bucharest hybrid is resistant to major cabbage diseases such as fusarium and vascular bacteriosis, and also exhibits good resistance to insect pests. Thanks to these qualities and high yield, this cabbage is suitable for both fresh market sales and processing, especially for pickling whole heads. The crop retains well in the field and can be stored for 2-4 months, making this variety convenient for long-term use.

It is recommended to grow Bucharest cabbage in open ground at a planting rate of 40-50 thousand plants per hectare. Successful cultivation requires regular watering, weed control, and fertilizer application. The hybrid withstands transportation without loss of quality, making it profitable for commercial production and sale. The vegetation period is approximately 82-87 days, allowing for harvest within medium-term schedules.
