Galvatron

Galvatron F1 cabbage is a mid-season, high-yielding hybrid of white cabbage, developed by the Dutch seed company Seminis. The vegetative period is 110-115 days, during which a dense, round head with high leaf attachment density forms. The average weight of heads ranges from 2.5 to 3.5 kg, with plants characterized by compactness and a strong root system. The recommended planting density is between 25,000 to 50,000 plants per hectare, ensuring optimal growth and high yield.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including triticarpes, and pests, thanks to a protective waxy coating on green leaves that effectively prevents damage from thrips. Galvatron cabbage is not demanding in soil type or growing conditions, making it suitable for open ground cultivation. Additionally, seeds are suitable for planting in the first and second crop rotations, including after winter garlic or early carrots.

This hybrid is ideal for long-term storage and transportation, maintaining its commercial and taste qualities in field conditions for up to 30 days after maturity. Galvatron cabbage is widely used both fresh and for pickling and processing, making it popular in supermarket and food processing industries.
