Cabbage Golden Cross F1

Efficient production for the fresh market

Golden Cross F1 by Takii Europe B.V. is a reliable choice for commercial growers focusing on early-season cabbage production. With a maturity cycle of just 40–50 days from transplanting, this hybrid is designed to bridge the gap between winter stocks and the main season, offering high marketability when fresh produce demand peaks.

Field performance and harvesting

The plant produces uniform, round heads weighing between 0.5 and 1.0 kg. This sizing is highly sought after by retailers and consumers alike, as it fits perfectly into 'ready-to-use' fresh meal portions, reducing food waste and making distribution simple.

• Optimized cycle: The short vegetative period allows for intensive crop rotation. Growers can plan multiple planting cycles to ensure continuous supply throughout the early season.
• Market appeal: The vibrant green color of the heads remains stable during transit, ensuring the product looks freshly harvested when it reaches the shelf.
• Uniformity: Consistency is the cornerstone of Takii Europe B.V. breeding. The uniformity of the Golden Cross F1 heads means field labor can be significantly reduced, as manual sorting during harvest is kept to a minimum.

This hybrid excels in early-season setups, whether under plastic tunnels or in open-field conditions with row cover protection. To achieve the best yield, growers should focus on maintaining consistent soil moisture, as the rapid growth rate requires constant uptake of nutrients and water. Golden Cross F1 is a professional-grade tool designed for efficiency, helping farms maximize yield while minimizing the time the crop spends in the field.
