White cabbage of the Brother Hare variety is a mid-season and high-yielding variety, distinguished by an elevated rosette of medium-sized leaves. The leaves are green with a medium-intensity waxy coating, smooth and slightly wavy at the edges. Heads are round in shape, weighing from 2 to 4 kg, with a whitish color on the cut surface and medium density. The outer and inner stems of this variety are short, which facilitates processing and consumption.
The taste and quality of Brother Hare cabbage are assessed as excellent: heads are tender, sweet, and juicy. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is ideal for preparing vitamin crunchy salads, early fermentation, as well as for short-term storage during the summer-autumn period. The variety is resistant to cracking, which increases its reliability during cultivation and transportation.
Growing Brother Hare cabbage begins with sowing seeds for seedlings in mid-March. Pricking out is done at the cotyledon stage, and seedling transplanting into open ground is carried out in mid-May according to a 60x60 cm scheme. Harvest is usually collected in August and September, which allows obtaining high-quality and fresh heads in optimal terms.
