Belkort F1 is an early-maturing hybrid of cauliflower with a maturation period of 70-80 days, ideal for growing both early in the season and during hot summer periods. The plant features a strong root system and numerous vertically growing leaves that effectively shield the head from direct sunlight, preventing scorching and maintaining its snow-white color. The cauliflower head is dense, heavy, weighing from 1.8 to 2.0 kg, with an attractive shape and high marketability, making the variety in demand for both fresh market and processing.
A key feature of the hybrid is its resistance to unfavorable conditions, particularly to "hairy" symptoms under extremely high temperatures, as well as the absence of anthocyanin pigmentation. Thanks to uniform maturity, harvest can be collected in a single operation, significantly simplifying agronomic practices. The recommended planting density is 30-40 thousand plants per hectare, which promotes optimal development and formation of a high-quality crop.
Cauliflower Belkort can be grown via seedlings, in greenhouses, or under Spanbond cover, selecting a sunny planting location. No additional fertilization is required during the season. To protect against pests such as cruciferous flea beetles and caterpillars, folk control methods can be applied. Cauliflower is versatile: it can be consumed fresh, boiled, fried, or pickled, making the variety attractive for various culinary purposes.
