Iris PURPLE DWARF IRIS

Engineering approach to landscaping: variety features

The "Violet Dwarf" variety is a result of selective breeding by the FGBNU Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (originator 531). The biological model of this iris is based on the concept of compactness, making it a strategically important tool for landscaping in confined spaces or for creating precise geometric lines in flower beds.

Morphological stability

The key technical advantage of this variety is the architecture of its root system. The compact rhizome type minimizes spreading, which simplifies agrotechnical maintenance: the plant does not require frequent transplanting or division to maintain visual aesthetics. This design allows for the maintenance of clump density over several seasons without losing ornamental value.

• Color specification: The saturated violet pigment of the petals demonstrates high stability under direct sunlight, which is critical for open-type landscape objects.
• Spatial optimization: The low-growing form ensures resistance to wind damage (lodging), eliminating the need for support structures.
• Functional purpose: The variety is justified for creating border compositions, zoning areas, and designing rock gardens where predictable shrub dimensions are essential.

The breeding by FGBNU FSCVG is focused on plant adaptation to climatic conditions, ensuring predictable vegetation and high-quality flowering when basic soil drainage and lighting requirements are met.
