The hybrid Iris variety "Irendik" belongs to the bearded group and reaches a height of about 90 cm. The leaves are dark green, and the scape is sturdy and branched, reaching approximately 55 cm in length. Each scape typically bears 4-5 bright flowers, from which one to three buds bloom simultaneously. The flowers, with a diameter of about 12 cm and a height of 10 cm, feature a characteristic two-toned design: the inner petals are wide, long, rounded, wavy, and dyed in a yellowish-orange hue, while the outer petals are narrow, long, rounded, wavy, and reddish-purple. The aroma is moderate, and the color does not fade even during long-term storage.
The flowering period lasts approximately 15 days, starting from mid-June. The variety is distinguished by medium resistance to heterosporiosis, winter hardiness, and heat tolerance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions of central Russia. In a cut, the plant retains freshness for about five days, and its transportability is rated as average.
"Irendik" is recommended for greening parks, squares, roadside areas, flower beds, groups, and masses, as well as as a decorative plant for cut flowers. Thanks to its bright coloration, resistance to unfavorable conditions, and pleasant scent, it has become a popular choice among gardeners and landscape designers.
