Description KASHKADAN
Iris 'Kashkadan' is a garden variety registered in 2010 and obtained from free pollination of the variety 'Katerina'. It is cultivated by the Federal State Institution Botanical Garden-Institute of the Ufa Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The bushes have a sturdy peduncle up to 65–70 cm high, are short-branched, and typically form 4–5 flowers on each stem.

Flowers with a diameter of about 9–11 cm have two-tone coloring: inner segments are light purplish-violet (85 A), outer ones are dark purplish-violet (N 81 B) with a pronounced yellow-orange beard. Upper segments are wide, short, rounded, and wavy, lower ones are long, smooth, and positioned horizontally. Aroma is medium, anthers develop normally.

The variety blooms in June for about 12 days, rated 91 points for ornamental value. It is distinguished by high winter hardiness and heat resistance, as well as medium resistance to heterosporiosis. Bushes grow intensively, which makes 'Kashkadan' an attractive choice for those who value bright floral compositions in garden beds.
