Aquarius

Iris "Aquarius" – a hybrid variety standing from 90 to 110 cm in height, distinguished by its bright and stable flower coloration. The plant features green leaves, while the sturdy and branched flower stalks typically contain 7–12 buds, though only two to three flowers bloom at once. The flower dimensions are approximately 9.2 cm vertical diameter and 16.5 cm horizontal; the outer and inner segments are rounded and wavy, colored purple with a brown border on the outside and fully brown on the inside. The aroma is moderate, and the flowers maintain their hue even with slight fading.

The "Aquarius" variety is noted for high resistance to diseases, pests, and unfavorable weather conditions, including heat. The flowering period lasts approximately 12 days, starting from mid-June and ending by the end of the month. For growing in northern regions of Russia, a small winter cover is recommended.

Iris "Aquarius" is frequently used as a decorative element in gardens and parks due to its bright appearance and long flowering period, and it easily blends with other plants to create harmonious compositions.
