Connect ® — a product containing the active ingredient Imidacloprid from the chemical class of chloronicotinyls with systemic mode of action and Beta-cyfluthrin from the chemical class of pyrethroids with contact-oral mode of action.
Protection of cereal crops is often complicated due to weather conditions (high temperatures) and the cryptic lifestyle of some pests. This makes the use of pyrethroid contact agents insufficiently effective, and necessitates tank-mixing with systemic agents.
Connect ® eliminates the need to prepare tank mixtures, as it contains both contact and systemic components simultaneously. The presence of Beta-cyfluthrin ensures reliable knockdown effect. The systemic nature of imidacloprid provides prolonged protective action.
MECHANISM OF ACTION
Both active ingredients disrupt normal formation and transmission of nerve impulses, but through different mechanisms. Therefore, in addition to reliable effects causing insects to convulse and die quickly, Connect ® prevents the development of resistance in pests. The product acts both upon direct contact with pests — contact action — and via ingestion of treated plants (including by sucking pests extracting plant sap) — oral systemic action. Additional stimulating effect — due to the presence of imidacloprid, which is transformed in the plant into a natural antidepressant — chloronicotinyl acid — treated plants receive a certain additional stress-resistant protection against drought, overwatering and other adverse conditions.
APPLICATION
Wheat, Barley
— 0.4-0.5 L/ha Against aphids, thrips, spider mites, cereal ground beetles, application during vegetation period. Maximum number of applications — 2. Pre-harvest interval — 30 days
Onion
— 0.4-0.5 L/ha Against onion thrips. Maximum number of applications and pre-harvest interval — see official registration certificate (since 2011).
Working liquid consumption rate: Ground application — 100-300 L/ha Aerial application — 50 L/ha
ADVANTAGES
Combination of two active ingredients with fundamentally different modes of action prevents resistance. Compatibility of contact and systemic effects. Rapid knockdown effect combined with long-lasting protection. No dependence on weather conditions. Certain stress-resistant action. Favorable toxicological characteristics.
