Selective soil herbicide for the destruction of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds on sunflower crops.
Active ingredient. Acetochlor, 900 g/l.
Formulation. Emulsifiable concentrate.
Chemical group. Chloracetamides.
Compatibility. Compatible with certain agrochemicals, however, compatibility should be checked in each case.
Mode of action. Systemic herbicide. The herbicide action inhibits the growth and development of roots and stem parts of weed seedlings. Weed seedlings absorb the active ingredient from the topsoil layer upon germination and die without emerging to the soil surface.
Spectrum of activity. Annual grasses: barnyard grass, foxtail, green foxtail, chickweed, crabgrass (crabgrasses), oats. Annual broad-leaved weeds: shepherd’s purse, ragweed, common clover, white mustard, hemp, daisy, mustard, black nightshade, garden purslane, middle starwort.
Perennial: pink sowthistle (seedlings), goosegrass, or sorghum aleppo.
Maximum number of applications - 1. Pre-harvest interval is not established.
Application rate of working solution - 300 — 400 l/ha. The product is applied to the soil surface. The soil should be sufficiently moist and crumbly. If the soil is moist, incorporation into the soil is not required. In case of insufficient soil moisture, mechanical incorporation (light cultivators) is necessary. HORTUS is applied before sowing, during sowing, or after sowing, but before crop emergence.
Optimal conditions — rainfall or irrigation within 7 — 10 days after spraying, which enhances herbicide penetration into the germination zone of weed seeds. Soils with high humus and clay content partially reduce the herbicide’s effectiveness. In such cases, soil solution buffering should be taken into account.
Toxicity. WHO classification: Class III (low toxicity). Mechanized and manual work — not recommended.
• Provides high efficacy over a prolonged period (4 — 6 weeks);
• eliminates weeds before their emergence;
• eliminates the need for inter-row soil treatments;
• effectively eliminates weeds and increases crop yield significantly;
• rapidly degrades into non-toxic compounds in soil.
Packaging. 20 L.
