Selective pre-emergent soil herbicide for controlling annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in corn, sunflower, soybean, rape, onion, citrus, fruit crops, and vineyards.
Spectrum of activity
The active ingredient in Atlantix 90% EC, acetochlor, works by inhibiting cell division. It stops the transport of amino acids and auxins to the coleoptile, reducing osmotic pressure, which leads to seedling death. The formulation has moderate volatility, increasing with temperature (above 25°C); moderate water solubility and high UV resistance. The effect on weeds is irreversible. When applied according to technology, it ensures weed-free conditions for 12-14 weeks.
Application features
Soils with high humus and clay content partially reduce the herbicide's effectiveness. Therefore, Atlantix 90% EC is recommended at minimum doses on sandy soils, and maximum doses on loamy and humus-rich soils. The soil should be sufficiently warm, moist, and crumbly. It should not contain large hard clumps, which increase absorption surface area and reduce herbicide efficiency.
Application recommendations
The herbicide is applied to the soil surface. The effectiveness of Atlantix 90% EC directly depends on soil moisture. Optimal conditions are rainfall or irrigation after application (10-20 mm). If the soil is moist, incorporation is not required. If the soil is dry, mechanical incorporation (using light cultivators) is necessary. The best time for application is immediately after sowing, before crop emergence, under cultivation. Recommended spray rate: 200-400 L/ha.
The herbicide is compatible with other pesticides and fertilizers. It does not affect weeds that have already emerged.
