Post-emergence systemic herbicide for control of annual and perennial grassy weeds
Active ingredient: Clethodim, 240 g/l
Manufacturer of Cetodim: Shenyang Rice Chemical Industry Institute, China
Manufacturer of FOFOIR surfactant: Peters & Burg Ltd, Hungary
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Packaging unit: drum, 1 L
Mode of action
The product penetrates through plant stems and leaves, rapidly translocates within the plant, concentrates at growth points, and blocks biochemical processes of lipid synthesis. Growth of herbicide-sensitive plants stops within several hours after application, and plant death occurs 7–21 days after treatment.
Features and advantages
— The efficacy of the product is independent of weather conditions.
— The ability to apply Cetodim® regardless of the growth stage of crop plants allows effective protection of crop plants at any development stage.
— Due to its systemic mode of action, the product eliminates not only vegetative mass but also the root system of plants, which is especially relevant for controlling problematic grassy weeds, including creeping bentgrass, couch grass, and others.
— Rainfall within 1 hour after application does not affect the efficacy of the product.
— Compatibility with other pesticides and liquid fertilizers allows the use of Cetodim® in integrated crop protection systems.
Application recommendations
Cetodim® is to be used only with FOFOIR® surfactant in a 1:3 ratio.
The product is applied via ground spraying at early weed development stages (2–6 leaves for annual grassy weeds and at 10–15 cm height for perennial grassy weeds). After emergence of crop plants. Working solution dosage: 200–300 L/ha. Maximum application frequency — 1 per season. Complete and even coverage of weeds with the working solution is crucial.
Application of the product
Cetodim in tank mixes. When applying Cetodim® in tank mixes with other pesticides, Cetodim® should be added last, preferably at the end of the mixing process. Cetodim® is recommended for tank mixing with the herbicide TRIUMPH® for control of annual broadleaf and grassy weeds on sugar beet crops (see TRIUMPH® application recommendations).
