Selective post-emergence herbicide for controlling annual and perennial grassy weeds
Active ingredient Clethodim, 240 g/l
Formulation Emulsion concentrate
Application spectrum Soybean, sunflower, sugar beet, vegetable and fodder crops
Main advantages
The product has high herbicidal efficiency against annual and perennial grassy weeds, herbicide does not damage dicotyledonous plants
Can be applied to sugar beet, soybean, and sunflower crops regardless of the growth stage of the crops
Due to its optimized formulation, the active ingredient remains reliably on the plant surface and is well absorbed by weed leaves
With the inclusion of surfactant in one container, the biological efficiency of the product increases, accelerating herbicide uptake by weeds
Low application cost
The product does not suppress sugar beet, sunflower, or soybean plants during their vegetation, allowing flexible timing for protective treatments
Allows elimination of soil-applied herbicides
Non-toxic to warm-blooded animals, environmentally safe and bee-friendly.
No need to use the product in combination with surfactants. The surfactant is included in the formulation together with clethodim. This ensures better adhesion of clethodim to the plant surface, faster dissolution of the waxy cuticle layer, and accelerated movement towards growth points. The dosage rate and efficiency of herbicide treatment depend on the weed species composition and their age and physiological condition. The product should not be applied on hot days with temperatures above +25°C. Ensuring complete coverage and thorough wetting of plants during application is mandatory.
Systemic action of the pesticide leads to rapid elimination of grassy weeds and their root systems. Thanks to its unique active ingredient, it has no restrictions for use in crop rotation. Half-life period 1–3 days, preventing clethodim from entering groundwater. «Centrix» is resistant to leaching even within an hour after application. It combines well with other herbicides.
Time for personnel to return to treated areas after mechanized work — 3 days; manual work — 7 days.
Maximum number of applications — 2.
Mode of action
Penetrating through leaves and stems of sensitive crops, clethodim concentrates in growth points, blocking lipid synthesis. In tolerant crops, it enters metabolic processes and is deactivated. Within 1–2 days after application, weed growth stops. Within 3–7 days, growth points turn brown and die; leaves develop chlorotic coloration. Within 7–12 days, complete death of weeds occurs.
Spectrum of activity
Annual grassy weeds: mouse barley, green mousegrass.
Perennial weeds: gumay.
Perennial grassy weeds: common couchgrass.
Annual winter weeds: oats.
Compatibility with other products
In tank mixtures, the herbicide is compatible with most pesticides. However, compatibility must be checked for each specific case.
WHO classification: Class III (moderately hazardous).
