Advantages:
Effectively suppresses annual broadleaf and some grass weeds at early growth stages
Perfectly compatible in tank mixtures with other herbicides to broaden the spectrum of action
Exhibits rapid herbicidal effect.
Mode of action: The product disrupts photosynthesis and protein metabolism in weeds. Fenmedipham and desmedipham penetrate through leaves and have trans-laminar action. Fumazone penetrates through roots and leaves and has systemic action.
Compatibility with other products: To enhance efficacy against grasses and perennial weeds, Expert Trio OF, KE can be compatible with a range of herbicides used on beet crops: products based on 2-aryl-oxyphenoxypropanoic acid derivatives, clopyralid, triflusulfuron-methyl, metamitron.
Duration of protective effect: The product provides herbicidal action against sensitive weeds present in the crop at the time of spraying, and does not act on weeds that emerge after treatment. The duration of action depends on regional weather conditions and weed species composition.
Selectivity: The product primarily kills annual broadleaf weeds and partially some grasses (knotgrass and foxtail). Occasional leaf burn on beet plants is temporary and quickly resolves without affecting crop growth or yield.
Speed of action: Visible symptoms appear within 3-4 days.
Phytotoxicity and crop tolerance: Expert Trio OF, KE may exhibit phytotoxicity to beet plants when applied under high air temperatures (above 25°C), or when plants are under stress (frost, hail). Safe to use herbicide in early morning or evening hours.
Potential for resistance development: No resistance development has been observed.
IMPORTANT Preparation of working solution: Fill the sprayer tank with one-quarter of the calculated amount of water, start the mixer, add the required amount of product, then top up to the full calculated volume. The working solution should be prepared using preferably clean, water heated to ambient temperature. It is undesirable to use directly water from artesian wells, as its temperature may not exceed 5°C. In such cases, the product may crystallize, causing technical difficulties during spraying (nozzles clogging) and reducing efficacy. Water hardness also matters and may have a negative effect. It is also important to observe the correct concentration of the working solution. The minimum concentration for herbicides in this group is 0.4% — that is, at least 0.4 liters per hectare must be dissolved in 100 liters of water (at lower concentrations, the active ingredient may precipitate). The recommended application rate is not more than 200–250 liters per hectare. Treatment is recommended to be carried out immediately after preparation.
Hazard class: Class 3 (moderately hazardous compound). The product is mildly hazardous to bees (Class 3 hazard). Apply to plants in early morning or evening hours, with wind speed up to 4-5 m/s. Buffer zone during application should be at least 2–3 km. Bee flight restriction duration: 3–4 hours.
The product is toxic to fish. Use is prohibited in sanitary zones around fish ponds.
Safe access time for machinery on treated areas — 3 days.
