Description Alfa-Bentazon
Advantages
• Exhibits high selectivity.
• No restrictions in crop rotation.
• Reliably controls not only broadleaf, but also grassy weeds.
• Convenient to use.

Mode of Action
The mechanism of action of bentazon is initially based on an irreversible process
blocking the photosynthetic electron transport. As a result of this reaction — the assimilation of CO2 is interrupted and the plant, after a brief stop in development, dies.
After absorption, the active substance moves through the plant via intercellular spaces and vascular bundles. The intensity and direction of transport depend on the degree of absorption, the site of application, the type of plant, the stage of development and environmental conditions. The active substance moves predominantly acropetally (from base to tip).

Properties
Alpha-Bentazon is used for suppressing and destroying a wide spectrum of broadleaf weeds and plants of the grass family.
Sensitive: Ambrosia arborescens, Galinsoga parviflora, Chenopodium album, Hordeum vulgare, Hordeum spontaneum, Datura stramonium, Notholaena subulata, Solanum nigrum, Impatiens parviflora, Artemisia vulgaris, Portulaca oleracea, Raphanus raphanistrum, Malva neglecta, Euphorbia maculata (various species), Chenopodium album (various species), Euphorbia helioscopia, Spergula arvensis, Teucrium chamaedrys, Teucrium scordium, various species of Veronica, Chenopodium album.
Moderately sensitive: Urtica dioica, Urtica urens, various species of Veronica, Chenopodium album.

General Recommendations
The effectiveness of herbicide application depends on proper application of the preparation. Soybeans are treated once in the 1-3 true leaf stage.
In this case, the maximum rate of application is used when weeds emerge (from the 4-leaf stage for annuals, to the stem elongation stage for perennials).
Alpha-Bentazon is not recommended for use in tank mixtures with herbicides based on the active ingredient clethodim.
To expand the spectrum of action on soybean crops, a tank mixture — Alpha-Bentazon 2 l/ha + Alpha-Maïs 4-6 g/ha — may be used.
Temperature conditions for application — from +15° to +25°С.

Working solution dosage
200-400 l/ha.
