Late-summer variety developed by the Stavropol Experimental Station for Horticulture. Obtained by crossing Williams with Lesnaya Krasavitsa. Breeder: P.V. Kuznetsov. Approved for the North Caucasus region.
Small-sized, moderately growing tree with a dense, rounded crown. Branches are light gray with some brown patches, emerge at sharp angles, are compactly arranged and directed upwards. Trunk is cylindrical. Bark is smooth and gray.
Shoots are light brown. Leaves are medium-sized, elongated, pointed at the apex, dark green, smooth, matte. Leaf blade is concave, without hairs. Leaf margin is finely toothed. Petiole is long, medium thickness, bare. Stipules are small, elongated. Flower buds are smooth, medium-sized, elongated.
Flowers are medium-sized, white, with round petals.
Fruits are one-dimensional, pear-shaped, regular in form. Main color at harvest is greenish, the covering color is mostly blurred, brownish-red. At consumer ripeness, main color is greenish-yellow, covering color is brownish-red. Few small green lenticels. Peduncle is medium in length and thickness, straight, upright. Bask is medium, wide, with very slight or no rusting. Receptacle is non-detaching, half-open. Plate is small, narrow, ribbed. Heart is medium, elliptical. Chambers are closed, medium. Sub-receptacle tube is medium. Seeds are large, narrow, cup-shaped, light brown.
Flesh is creamy, tender, oily, very juicy, slightly sour-sweet with moderate aroma. Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter - 15.2%, sugars - 9.5%, titratable acids - 0.11%, ascorbic acid - 6.8 mg/100g.
Harvesting period: from August 25 to September 10. First-grade fruit yield is 90%. Storage duration: 15-20 days.
Requires pollinators. Suitable pollinators include: Krasnochekaya, Lyubimitsa Klappa, Williams, Nalchikskaya Kostyka, Krasnodarskaya Letnya, Grand Champion, Konferentsiya.
Trees begin fruiting at 7 years of age. Flowering and fruiting are regular. Yield is high; in age 8-12 years, yield reached 168 centners per hectare in the foothill zone of Stavropol Krai.
High winter hardiness. Relatively resistant to diseases.
Suitable for growing on quince.
