Medium-ripening variety, obtained at the Leningrad Fruit and Vegetable Experimental Station by crossing varieties Mysovsky 17 and Industry. Breeders: O.A. Medvedeva and I.S. Studenska. Since 1994, it has been included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in the Northwest, Central, and Volga-Vyatka regions.
Medium-height, compact bush; when heavily loaded with fruit, it becomes spreading. Stems are of medium thickness, directed upward and sideways. Growing stems are arching, gray with light-green tips. Thorns are moderate: single- and double-lobed, 0.5-0.7 cm long, thin, not very sharp, light-green, oriented perpendicularly to the stems. Buds are small, pointed, light-brown, slightly deviated.
Leaves medium-sized, dark green, glossy, medium density, smooth, concave along main veins. Lower leaf surface has sparse hairs. Lobes 3-5. Basal lobes weakly expressed. Middle lobe rhombic, lateral lobes elongated. Lateral edges of the middle lobe are straight. Notch between lobes is of medium depth, narrow. Teeth are medium-sized, pointed. Petiole is medium length, thin, straight, green, with hairs at base. Leaves are positioned at an angle to the stems and oriented in different planes.
Flowers medium-sized, bell-shaped, medium-colored. Calyx lobes are loosely arranged. Ovate ovary, without hairs. Inflorescence is single- or two-flowered.
Berries from 2.4 to 6.5 g, average weight 4.3 g, oval and pear-shaped, cherry-red, without hairs, with almost imperceptible venation, slight swelling at base. Skin is medium thickness, tough. Flavor very good, sour-sweet, rated 4.8 points. Calyx is narrow, medium length, closed. Pedicel is thin, fairly long, colored, cylindrical or conical. Chemical composition: soluble dry substances — 14.2-15.9%, total sugars — 10.8-11.8%, titratable acidity — 1.8-2.3%, ascorbic acid — 17.8-31.3 mg/100 g. Berries are of universal use.
Yield 5.5 kg berries/plant, self-fertility up to 32.5%. Winter hardiness is moderate, resistance to fungal diseases is high.
Advantages of the variety: dessert flavor and attractive appearance of berries.
Disadvantages of the variety: risk of freezing in severe winters.
